Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tipi Savea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baldong Dado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tipi Savea! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baldong Dado! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dado bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Savea can't do much from the bottom here. Savea is looking to regain half guard here but Dado keeps moving and retains side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Savea wants to control but Dado postures up. Dado throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Savea works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Dado prevents Savea from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dado trying to control from half guard but Savea is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Savea is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dado missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Dado content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Dado wants to pass to mount but Savea is defending the position. Dado is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dado missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Savea actively working from the bottom here. Dado tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Dado is thwarting Savea's attempts to control the position. Dado tries to pass to full mount but Savea defends it. Savea is staying active underneath Dado, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Dado tries to stand and escape but Savea is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Savea tries to get to full guard but Dado has control of the leg. Savea regains full guard. Nicely done. Savea wants to sweep but no luck. Savea striking from the bottom.
Savea can't keep his opponent in guard - Dado advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Savea is trying to stand back up but Dado is controlling him
The fighters are battling for position here. Savea manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Dado won't allow Savea to sweep him here. Dado trying to control but Savea is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Savea looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dado is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dado stopping the sweep attempt from Savea. Savea keeping moving, preventing Dado from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Baldong Dado has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Dado. Dado looking to control but instead Savea has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Baldong Dado dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Savea shoots and misses and Dado counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Dado thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Savea to regain full guard. Savea has Dado pulled in close to control his posture. Dado sitting in guard, not really doing much. Savea is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Savea pulls Dado in to control the position. Dado wants to stand but Savea has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dado looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dado is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savea has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dado is working away from the top position though. Savea manages to get to full guard.
Savea is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Savea working a defensive guard here.
Dado must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Savea looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Dadois looking to pass into half guard but Savea pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Savea is in guard. Dado is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Savea is controlling him. Savea drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dado manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Savea has Dado in his guard. Savea throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Dado escapes and throws Savea's legs to the side, diving into side control! Savea struggling a bit here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Savea regains half guard. Savea kicks off Dado and gets to his feet. Savea with a poor takedown and Dado counters with a shoot takedown. Savea fights it but they end up in guard. Savea looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dado wants to control from the top but Savea keeps moving. Dado really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Savea. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Dado got a little sloppy there for a moment and Savea has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dado has managed to get both his arms back between Savea's legs - danger averted. Savea not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Baldong Dado has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Savea tries to sprawl but Dado drives through with a takedown into half guard. Savea is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dado's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dado's back! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Savea is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Dado with him. Dado is trying to defend but Savea has an arm under the chin now! Dado grimaces and is forced to tap out!
