Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Bush!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bush misses with a body shot.
Bush throws a series of punches but Stenmark moves out of range.
Stenmark closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


It looks like Ove Stenmark has been cut.
Bush swings and misses with a hook to the body.
John Bush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bush misses with a left hand

and Stenmark counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Stenmark is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bush has managed to free his arm - good work.
Stenmark wants to control but Bush is keeping him busy.

Stenmark is working for a kimura but Bush is defending it quite comfortably.

Stenmark is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bush sees it coming and defends easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bush is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stenmark pulls his head out easily.
Bush is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bush is doing well to control the position and prevent Stenmark from advancing to side control.
Bush tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Bush is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stenmark is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Stenmark is looking for a kimura but Bush is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stenmark to get the leverage.
Bush is refusing to be controlled, as Stenmark sits in half guard.
Bush is trying to control but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bush is staying active underneath Stenmark, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Stenmark works his way into full mount!
Stenmark looking to control but Bush is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bush is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Stenmark avoids the attempt from Bush to control.

Stenmark is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Stenmark!
