Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Zimmerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyon Okiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zimmerman kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Run This Town (Jay Z feat. Rhianna). Lyon Okiro will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Robert Zimmerman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lyon Okiro!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Okiro as Zimmerman shoots in.
Okiro drops his hands momentarily and Zimmerman takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Zimmerman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Okiro quickly recovers to half guard.
Okiro is positioning himself well to prevent Zimmerman advancing to mount.
Okiro wants to get back to full guard.
Zimmerman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Okiro is just riding it out for now. Zimmerman eventually gives up the hold.
Zimmerman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Okiro tries to get to full guard but Zimmerman has control of the leg.
Zimmerman is keen to just control but Okiro is a slippery customer.

Okiro wants to stand up but Zimmerman has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Zimmerman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Okiro pulls his head out easily.

Zimmerman is looking for a sweep. Okiro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Zimmerman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Okiro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Okiro must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Zimmerman has his foot on Okiro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Okiro works his way back into a safe position though.
Okiro decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Okiro looks to throw the jab but Zimmerman is out of range.

Okiro uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zimmerman has time to react.

Okiro scores with a hook to the body. Zimmerman takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Okiro lands a jab to Zimmerman's midsection.
Okiro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zimmerman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Okiro lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Okiro smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Okiro fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zimmerman manages to avoid it.
Okiro lands a nice hook to Zimmerman's body. Zimmerman takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Okiro swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Zimmerman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Okiro is trying to defend but Zimmerman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Okiro is controlling Zimmerman's trapped leg to prevent Zimmerman from advancing to side control.

Zimmerman wants to take a breather but Okiro is having none of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Okiro won't allow Zimmerman to pass to mount.
Zimmerman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Zimmerman sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Zimmerman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Okiro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Okiro gets to his feet. Zimmerman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Zimmerman drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Okiro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zimmerman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Zimmerman shoots in and gets a takedown into Okiro's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Zimmerman is in close to Okiro's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Okiro preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Okiro wants to stand but Zimmerman is controlling the position.

Okiro displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Zimmerman.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Okiro is on top in guard.
Okiro is posturing up here but Zimmerman has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Okiro tries to roll out but it's too tight and Okiro has to tap! Slick submission there by Zimmerman!
