Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Big Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zeth Saarsgard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dog slaps away a takedown attempt from Saarsgard, before circling back to the center of the mat. Saarsgard fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Dog throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Saarsgard chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dog can pounce on him.
Dog leaves Saarsgard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Big Dog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zeth Saarsgard. Dog delivers a nice body kick. Saarsgard tries to clinch but Dog is having none of it. Dog throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dog feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Saarsgard's calf. Saarsgard takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Saarsgard closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dog quickly recovers to half guard. Saarsgard controlling the action here. Dog is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saarsgard decides to stand and escape the position. Saarsgard moves in looking to clinch but Dog pushes him off. Saarsgard closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dog quickly recovers to half guard. Saarsgard controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dog knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saarsgard on the ground. Let's hope that Saarsgard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Zeth Saarsgard has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Dog will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dog really is a fat lump. Saarsgard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dog's waist but Dog gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Saarsgard off to one side. Big Dog is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice uppercut there from Saarsgard. Saarsgard tries to clinch up. Dog throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Dog gets caught flat footed, as Saarsgard shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Saarsgard's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Saarsgard slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dog is breathing heavily. Saarsgard has hold of Dog's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Dog seems comfortable defending it but Saarsgard has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Dog is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Dog is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Saarsgard couldn't care less - he's delighted!
