Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincenzo Calliente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hunter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The DOC vs Earshot. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincenzo Calliente!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter circles away from the clinch attempt
and Hunter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Calliente throws a right hand that misses
and Hunter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Calliente shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Calliente not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Hunter is trying to get back to full guard.
Hunter is staying active underneath Calliente, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Calliente lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Calliente seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hunter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Calliente throwing shots but Hunter is blocking nicely.
Hunter is trying to get back to full guard.
Calliente wants to pass to mount but Hunter is defending the position.
Hunter trying to hold on to Calliente's head to control him but Calliente postures up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hunter on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Hunter is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Calliente scores with a couple of nice shots.
Calliente takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Hunter is trying to get back to full guard.
Calliente is looking for a kimura but Hunter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Calliente to get the leverage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Calliente works his foot free and advances to mount.
Calliente scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Hunter?
Hunter is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A nice elbow there by Calliente.
Calliente is landing with some decent strikes but Hunter is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Calliente pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Hunter tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Calliente punishing his opponent with strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hunter is bucking up trying to escape but Calliente cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Hunter is in a horrible position here. Calliente smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Hunter is rocked!
Calliente raining down hammerfists from mount.
Oh Hunter is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Calliente drops a big elbow. That's hurt Hunter! More shots from Calliente and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
