Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Macey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davis Paul Marcus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Macey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Davis Paul Marcus! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Macey perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marcus won't allow Macey to pass to mount. Macey throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Macey is figuring out what he wants to do next. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Macey works his way into side control. Marcus dodges the ground and pound from Macey. Macey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macey takes a little break here. Marcus wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Macey creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Marcus sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Macey is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marcus knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Macey tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Marcus is letting Macey control him for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macey tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Macey looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Marcus is avoiding damage well.
Marcus is trying to control Macey's posture but Macey avoids it. Macey throwing shots but missing, from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Macey is working Marcus over with some ground and pound from side control. Macey scores with a couple of short elbows. Macey in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. A lull in the action here. Macey misses with an attempted head punch from side control. An elbow from Macey crashes against the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Macey dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Macey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Macey stands and throws Marcus's legs to the side, diving into side control. Marcus is working to avoid the ground and pound but Macey connects with a decent elbow. Macey is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Marcus will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. The ground and pound from Macey seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Macey is putting a hurting on Marcus here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marcus avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Macey. Macey is trying to get an arm triangle but Marcus is defending well. Marcus trying to remain calm as Macey controls from the top position. Macey tries for a kimura but Marcus is defending well. Macey working the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marcus prevents Macey from moving into mount. Macey fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Macey throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Macey looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Macey in side control, throwing shots but Marcus defends.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macey staying calm. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Macey tries to move into full mount but can't pass Marcus's legs. Macey advances nicely into full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Macey controlling from the full mount. Macey raining down hammerfists from mount. Macey working away from the top, dropping strikes. Macey with shots to the head and body - Marcus looks very uncomfortable down there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Macey dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Davis Paul Marcus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Marcus avoids the head kick by Macey.
Marcus moves out of range of the strikes. Marcus throws a leg kick which misses Macey's front leg but catches the back leg as Macey tries to avoid it. Marcus fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Marcus gets caught flat footed, as Macey shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Marcus tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macey looking to sit in guard and control but Marcus gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Macey pulls Marcus in close to prevent any damage. Davis Paul Marcus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Marcus won't allow Macey to sweep him here. Macey managing to control the position. Marcus must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Marcus won't allow Macey to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macey is working hard here to advance position. Macey wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Frank Macey just wasn't active enough. Marcus walks forward, straight into a front kick from Macey. Marcus has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Macey. Marcus takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Some bone on bone action there as Marcus checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Macey shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Marcus manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Macey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Macey showed his dominance in that final round. Well Macey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
