Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Arizona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaiah Cooleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cooleman has chosen Real Nigga Roll Call as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Isaiah Cooleman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Isaiah Cooleman! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooleman fails in his attempt to clinch. Cooleman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Cooleman shoots in but Arizona avoids the takedown attempt easily. Cooleman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Arizona. Arizona stuffs the takedown attempt from Cooleman. Cooleman gets slowly back to his feet. Arizona shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Arizona dodges the punch combination from Cooleman.

Cooleman rushes Arizona and presses him up against the cage. Cooleman is working for takedown but Arizona is calmly controlling the position for now. Ronnie Arizona has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isaiah Cooleman. Arizona wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Cooleman jumps guard and drags Arizona to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Cooleman is pulling down on Arizona's head. It's preventing any offense from Arizona, at least for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Arizona is looking to stand up but Cooleman won't let him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Isaiah Cooleman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Cooleman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cooleman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Arizona. A telegraphed right hand from Arizona misses the target. Cooleman misses the shot to the body. Arizona uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cooleman has time to react. Cooleman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Cooleman looks gassed! Arizona scores with a jab to the body. Arizona throws an overhand right that lands on Cooleman's shoulder, as Cooleman tries to avoid the shot. Arizona looks to land a combination. Cooleman sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Arizona lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Arizona misses. The fighters circle momentarily. Arizona darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Cooleman takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cooleman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Arizona. Arizona fails to land with a series of punches.
Arizona looks to land a right hand but Cooleman moved out of range. The fighters circling - Arizona throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Cooleman tries for a takedown but Arizona sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ronnie Arizona is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Decent striking displayed by Arizona there. Arizona connects with a right hand. Cooleman shakes it off. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Arizona fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Arizona lands a nice shot to the body.
Arizona stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Arizona lands a head shot. Cooleman tries to close the distance and clinch but Arizona swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ronnie Arizona dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Cooleman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Arizona but Arizona pushes him off and we're back to square one. Arizona scores with a jab. Ronnie Arizona seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arizona throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Cooleman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Arizona's efforts to push away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Cooleman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Arizona walks away with a smile on his face. Cooleman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ronnie Arizona has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isaiah Cooleman. Cooleman is breathing heavily. Arizona throws a hook to the side of Cooleman's head but Cooleman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Arizona scores with a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arizona ducks under a wild hook from Cooleman. No luck for Cooleman with that takedown attempt. Arizona scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cooleman doesn't seem bothered though. Cooleman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Left hook, right uppercut from Arizona. Arizona lands a really nice looking cross but Cooleman seems unphased.

Good leg kick by Arizona there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Cooleman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Arizona avoids it really well and circles away. Cooleman seems to have recovered his senses. Ronnie Arizona is winning the standup battle so far.

Arizona's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cooleman under the eye. Arizona scores with a hook. Cooleman throws a leg kick and Arizona counters with a lovely straight right hand! Arizona lands a nice shot that snaps Cooleman's head back.
This has been an exciting period of action! Arizona looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

and Cooleman counters by clinching up. Arizona lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Cooleman backwards. Arizona blocks an elbow strike. Arizona is trying to break the clinch but Cooleman has him pressed against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice body punch from Arizona - that landed with a thud.

Cooleman controlling Arizona's posture. Arizona knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cooleman on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Cooleman is looking to sinch up a triangle. Arizona throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Cooleman's body to avoid the submission. Cooleman has instead reached around Arizona's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Cooleman arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
