Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mateusz Kowalewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and stephen chiver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalewski comes to the cage accompanied by Janusz Laskowski - Śnił mi się rodzinny dom. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mateusz Kowalewski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalewski scores a takedown into full mount!
chiver is trying to escape the mount.
Kowalewski swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and chiver is now in Kowalewski's guard. A big mistake from Kowalewski there, giving up the dominant position!
Kowalewski isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. chiver stacks Kowalewski on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by chiver!
chiver stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Kowalewski doesn't succeed with the takedown
and chiver counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kowalewski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kowalewski drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and chiver dives on top into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
chiver stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kowalewski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells chiver's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

chiver pushes down on Kowalewski's leg and manages to get into half guard.
chiver tries to stand but can't do so whilst Kowalewski controls his leg.
chiver throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, chiver cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kowalewski is working to get back to half guard.
chiver takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

chiver can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kowalewski is looking to escape.

chiver looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kowalewski actively working from the bottom here.
Kowalewski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but chiver pulls his head out easily.

chiver wants to stand but Kowalewski has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Kowalewski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but chiver can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kowalewski is working an open guard so chiver takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
chiver shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kowalewski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in chiver's guard now.
Kowalewski stands and throws chiver's legs to the side, diving into side control.

chiver wants to get back to his feet but Kowalewski drags him back down.

Kowalewski is working to tighten is grip on chiver's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. chiver has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kowalewski is really squeezing tight and eventually chiver passes out! Kowalewski breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
