Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Zedowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Li comes to the cage accompanied by Give My Bullet Back. Steven Zedowski is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Li! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steven Zedowski! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zedowski bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Li's head backwards. Zedowski throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Zedowski scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Zedowski feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Li doesn't succeed with the takedown and Zedowski counters with a two punch combo. Li moves forwards but Zedowski connects with a nice, crisp jab. Li doesn't succeed with the takedown and Zedowski counters with a big head kick but Li shrugs it off. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Zedowski. Zedowski is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Li. Zedowski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Li takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like James Li has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zedowski lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zedowski connects with a good right hand that stumbles Li. Li circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Steven Zedowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zedowski scores with a nice strike. Li takes one on the button. Zedowski looks to land a combination but Li avoids it well. Li displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zedowski throws out the jab. Zedowski cracks Li with an open hand slap. A jab from Zedowski misses. Zedowski scores with a nice head shot. Zedowski throws a right and a left that Li avoids nicely. Li ducks under a wild hook from Zedowski. Zedowski takes a swing at Li's ribcage but misses. Zedowski misses with a straight left.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zedowski rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Li moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Zedowski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Li has his takedown stuffed and Zedowski counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Li thinking. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Li. That's going to take a lot out of him. Li shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Li takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Zedowski scores with a jab to the head.

Zedowski scores with a punch to the head. A lazy left from Zedowski finds it's target. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Li. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. This has been an exciting period of action! Li takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zedowski swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Zedowski is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Li had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. A head kick misses from Zedowski. Li staying out of range there. Zedowski missing with a left hand there. Li was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Zedowski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Li moves away. Li with a poor takedown and Zedowski counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Zedowski moves into range and connects with a jab. Li ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A big right from Zedowski misses. Zedowski throws the left hand but Li avoids the punch easily. Zedowski lands a head shot. Li keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Zedowski.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Li slips under a jab from Zedowski. A slow jab from Zedowski misses its intended target. Zedowski loads up on a big right hand but Li slips the punch. Li gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Zedowski. Zedowski jabbing away but nothing is landing. Li walks into a stiff left hand from Zedowski. Zedowski throws a jab but it's blocked by Li. Zedowski throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zedowski thows a left - swing and a miss! Zedowski scores with the left hand. Li knows he should have avoided that one. Zedowski misses with a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Zedowski dominated that round. The cut man is working on James Li's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Zedowski rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Li counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Li wants to control but Zedowski is keeping him busy. Zedowski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Li trying to pass the guard but Zedowski defending well. Li is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zedowski is just riding it out for now. Li eventually gives up the hold. Li wants to work for an arm triangle but Zedowski is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Li is looking for a kimura here.
Li looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zedowski kicks off Li and gets to his feet. A telegraphed right hand from Zedowski misses the target. Zedowski tries a head kick but it misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zedowski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zedowski's jab looks to have found its range, popping Li under the eye. Li drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Li trying to control the position from guard on top but Zedowski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Li won't allow Zedowski to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Li drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Zedowski dives on top into guard. Zedowski wants to stand but Li has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Li looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zedowski is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zedowski slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Zedowski trying to stand up but can't free himself from Li's guard. Zedowski wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Li's closed guard. He's half up but Li has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Li pivots and extends the arm, Zedowski falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Li! Well done that man!
