Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rob Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Horne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Horne!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horne's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Horne duly obliges.
Horne drops his hands momentarily and Smith takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Horne rushes Smith and presses him up against the cage.
Horne tries to land a knee to the head but Smith blocks with his arms.
Horne tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smith smiles and moves away.
Horne shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Horne was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Smith bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Smith slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Rob Smith just wasn't active enough.
Horne has a takedown stuffed.
Smith avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Smith cracks the inside of Horne's front leg.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Smith wants to clinch.

Rob Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Horne.
Smith tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Horne counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Smith's guard now.
Smith pulls Horne in close to prevent any damage.
Smith is looking to stand up but Horne isn't so interested in that idea.
Smith controls Horne momentarily but Horne frees himself.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smith is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Horne works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Horne keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Smith stands and throws Horne's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Horne tries to improve position but can't.
Smith stands up and beckons Horne to his feet.
Horne drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Horne looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Smith is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Horne is controlling him.
Smith lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Horne!
Smith takes Horne's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Horne is in trouble.
Horne has hold of Smith's leg, trying to break free but it's let Smith lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Horne is turning an unusual color here� he's out! Smith throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
