The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montross pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Escher back to the cage. Montross follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Escher misses with a hook. Montross ducked under it nicely.
Marcus Montross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Escher slips a jab and a cross from Montross.
Montross throws a right and a left that Escher avoids nicely.
Montross fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Escher counters with a takedown into side control.
