Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gichin Funakoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauri Ruoska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Funakoshi comes to the cage accompanied by Martial Art Drum Beat. Ruoska has chosen Rolling Stones as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gichin Funakoshi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mauri Ruoska! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Funakoshi. A swing and a miss from Ruoska. Funakoshi misses with a straight right. A slow jab from Funakoshi misses its intended target. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Ruoska swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ruoska missing with a left hand there. Funakoshi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ruoska blocks a jab. Ruoska connects with a looping right hand.
Funakoshi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ruoska. Funakoshi scores with a hook. Funakoshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ruoska moves away. Funakoshi cracks Ruoska with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Ruoska falls to his knees and Funakoshi doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gichin Funakoshi! Gichin Funakoshi retains his lightweight title!
