Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Rubaylo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Rubaylo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frank Mir! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rubaylo paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Mir looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mir misses with a body shot.
A big right from Rubaylo misses. Rubaylo waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Mir. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Mir to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Mir is rocked!
It looks like Frank Mir has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rubaylo thows a big elbow that misses. Mir is still in real trouble! Can Rubaylo finish him? Mir looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rubaylo is one step ahead there. Mir seems to have recovered his senses. Rubaylo tries to free his leg and advance position but Mir is retaining full guard. Rubaylo wants to get up but he can't break Mir's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Mir utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rubaylo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Mir wants to get back to his feet but Rubaylo is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Rubaylo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Mir is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rubaylo throws out a loose jab but Mir uses good head movement to avoid it. Ivan Rubaylo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mir tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rubaylo was well out of range. Poor timing from Mir. Rubaylo throws the left hand but Mir avoids the punch easily. Rubaylo throws a big shot that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rubaylo misses with a few strikes there.
Mir moves in looking to clinch but Rubaylo pushes him off. Mir tries to clinch up but Rubaylo circles away and keeps his distance. Rubaylo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mir rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rubaylo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rubaylo misses with a few strikes there.
Rubaylo is breathing heavily. Rubaylo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mir wants to clinch up but Rubaylo keeps it at a distance. Mir lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Ivan Rubaylo has been cut. Ivan Rubaylo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mir clinches. Mir jumps guard but Rubaylo stands there with Mir around his waist. Mir gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rubaylo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mir. A punch lands to the side of Rubaylo 's head but he takes it in his stride. Mir tries to close the distance and clinch but Rubaylo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mir tries to clinch but Rubaylo moves out of range. Mir fails in his attempt to clinch. Mir dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rubaylo. That did some damage! Mir fails in his attempt to clinch. A looping hook to the body misses from Mir. Rubaylo does a little dance to reset his feet. Mir with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mir tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rubaylo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rubaylo fails to land with a series of punches.
Mir tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rubaylo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rubaylo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Rubaylo dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nice sprawl there from Rubaylo as Mir shoots in. Mir dives in and grabs Rubaylo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rubaylo pushes down on Mir's head and hops out. Mir throws a head kick that Rubaylo semi-blocks.

Mir connects with an inside leg kick. Mir should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Mir misses with a series of wild punches.

Mir on the wrong end of a nice jab. A head kick by Rubaylo misses and Mir counters with a head kick. Rubaylo closes the distance and clinches. Rubaylo tries to break free but Mir pushes him back against the cage. Rubaylo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mir jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rubaylo walks away with a smile on his face. Mir gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ivan Rubaylo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir. Mir throws a head kick that half lands.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mir will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mir misses with the combination.

Mir moves to clinch but Rubaylo breaks away and Rubaylo counters with a straight right hand. A head kick from Mir lands but Rubaylo takes it in his stride. Rubaylo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mir paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mir scores with a shot to the body.
Mir throws a jab when Rubaylo was well out of range. Mir connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Mir is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mir wants to clinch but Rubaylo slips to the side and Rubaylo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mir thinking. Mir throws a right and a left that both miss. Mir misses with a two punch combination.

Oh Rubaylo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rubaylo is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Mir misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Horrible takedown by Mir or perhaps it was just good defense by Rubaylo which made him look bad. A punch combination from Mir misses. Mir throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rubaylo. Rubaylo seems to have got his legs back now. Rubaylo moves into range and connects with a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rubaylo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Mir is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rubaylo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mir looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mir tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rubaylo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mir tries to clinch but Rubaylo is having none of it. Mir thows a body shot but no joy. Mir avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Mir throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mir goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Rubaylo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mir. A head kick from Mir lands but Rubaylo takes it in his stride. Mir swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rubaylo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Mir tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rubaylo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Mir wants to clinch but Rubaylo slips to the side and Rubaylo counters with a straight right hand. Mir lands a high kick!
Mir shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rubaylo as he avoids it easily. Rubaylo rushes Mir and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Mir tries to pull guard but Rubaylo holds him up against the cage and eventually Mir drops back down to his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Rubaylo's face as he tries to break the clinch. Mir trying to control the position but instead, Rubaylo has worked for underhooks and has pushed Mir into the cage. Mir keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rubaylo's efforts to push away. Mir jumps guard but Rubaylo stands there with Mir around his waist. Mir gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mir is looking to control Rubaylo's arms but Rubaylo gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mir has his back to the cage. Mir is trying to push Rubaylo away but Rubaylo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Mir wants to break the clinch but can't.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ivan Rubaylo will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

A head kick by Rubaylo misses and Mir counters with a head kick. Mir slips a jab from Rubaylo. Mir tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rubaylo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mir tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rubaylo throws a head kick that misses and Mir counters with a body kick. Rubaylo swats away the attempt to clinch by Mir. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mir wants to clinch.

Mir tries to close the distance and clinch but Rubaylo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Whack! Mir lands a heavy head kick that drops Rubaylo. The ref tackles Mir to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Rubaylo was done.
