Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilbur Elton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandros Althea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elton kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Gonna Fly Now. Alexandros Althea is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wilbur Elton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexandros Althea! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Althea tries to avoid it but Elton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Althea to the ground. Althea escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Elton misses with an uppercut. Althea has closed the distance and engaged Elton in a clinch.
Elton blocks an elbow strike. Althea looking to throw knees to the head but Elton is blocking nicely.
Althea throws a knee to the head but misses.
Althea with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Elton fails to pull guard.
Elton is trying to break the clinch but Althea has him pressed against the cage. Elton takes a knee to the side of the body. Althea throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Elton blocks it with crossed arms. Althea has clasped his hands together around Elton's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Althea is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Elton's shoulder. That is not cool. This has been an exciting period of action! Elton is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Althea off and has taken his back! Elton is breathing heavily.

Elton throwing strikes and Althea squirms under the pressure, ending up mounted. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Elton throws some wild stikes that Althea manages to avoid easily.
Althea controls the position. Elton moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Althea has worked his arm free - good work by Althea!
Althea is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Elton wants to control but Althea is keeping him busy. Elton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Elton tries to advance to mount but Althea denies him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Elton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Althea knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Elton looking to control but instead Althea has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Althea makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Althea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexandros Althea dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Elton shoots for a takedown but Althea saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Elton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Althea sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Elton somewhat. Elton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Althea paws at him with a jab and circles away. Althea throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Althea throws a nice outside leg kick. Wilbur Elton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Althea displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Elton. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilbur Elton. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Althea pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Elton back to the cage. Althea follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Althea throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Elton tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Althea is in Elton's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Althea advances to half guard.

Althea frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Elton is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Elton tries to hold on but Althea postures up.

Elton tries to hold on but Althea pushes him away. Althea tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Althea. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Elton slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Elton works his way to full guard. Good work. Elton is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexandros Althea showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Sloppy strikes from Althea. Those never looked like landing. Elton bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Althea throws a hook to the side of Elton's head but Elton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Elton tries to clinch but Althea moves away and Althea counters with a nice double leg into guard. Althea postures up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Althea trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elton trying to control the position here. Elton is trying to keep Althea in close.
Elton manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Elton punishing his opponent with strikes. Elton get's back to his feet. Elton moves into range and clinches up with Althea. Elton can't get the takedown.

Althea has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Elton down to the mat. Elton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Althea avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Elton tries a head kick but it misses.
Althea drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Althea must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Elton wants to sweep here but Althea controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elton controls Althea momentarily but Althea frees himself. Althea stops Elton from standing up.
And that's the end of the fight! Alexandros Althea comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Althea has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
