Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Dexter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Dexter will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dexter shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wilson eats them both and turns towards Dexter to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
A big left from Wilson misses.
Wilson dives in and grabs Dexter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dexter pushes down on Wilson's head and hops out.
Dexter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dexter throws a leg kick which misses Wilson's front leg but catches the back leg as Wilson tries to avoid it.
Good standup being displayed there by Dexter as he connects with a hook.
Wilson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dexter tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wilson is in Dexter's guard.
Wilson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dexter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wilson has Dexter in his guard.
Dexter tries to stand but Wilson is controlling from the bottom.

Dexter gets to his feet - Wilson follows without any prompting.
Dexter throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Wilson misses with a hook to the body
and Dexter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wilson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Dexter pushes Wilson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Wilson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Wilson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dexter knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wilson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dexter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dexter wants to get back to his feet but Wilson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wilson has gone for a leg lock! Dexter slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wilson's guard.
Wilson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dexter defends it easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dexter wants to stand but Wilson is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wilson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Some bone on bone action there as Wilson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Dexter misses with a straight left.
Wilson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Dexter lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Wilson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dexter to score with a decent uppercut.
Dexter comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Wilson throws and elbow that misses. Dexter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wilson's guard. Nice move by Dexter!
Wilson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dexter is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wilson.

Dexter decides to stand up, so the ref orders Wilson to his feet.
Wilson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dexter.

Dexter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Dexter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wilson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nick Wilson.
