Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladimir Mikhail!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chip McAllister!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McAllister swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mikhail counters with a nice uppercut.
McAllister fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
McAllister connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mikhail. Mikhail circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mikhail shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McAllister counters with a head kick. That will keep Mikhail thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mikhail.
McAllister throws a shot from downtown. Mikhail moves away and avoids it.
Mikhail doesn't succeed with the takedown

and McAllister counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McAllister.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladimir Mikhail. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McAllister can't break the clinch.
Mikhail drops down looking for an ankle pick but McAllister pulls his leg out and moves away.
McAllister looks to land a right hand but Mikhail moved out of range.

Mikhail shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mikhail trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

McAllister looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McAllister pushes Mikhail off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Mikhail gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McAllister to score an easy takedown into full guard.
McAllister won't allow Mikhail to get back to his feet.

McAllister trying to control but Mikhail is working from the bottom.
McAllister controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
McAllister forces his way into half guard.
McAllister trying to control the pace.

Let's hope that McAllister has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mikhail pushes McAllister off looking to stand but McAllister dives back in and keeps control.
McAllister tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mikhail controls his leg.
McAllister seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mikhail does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chip McAllister wasn't active enough on the ground.

McAllister closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mikhail to the mat! Mikhail manages to get full guard.
McAllister throwing strikes but missing.
McAllister is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McAllister prevents Mikhail from getting back to his feet.
McAllister wants to control from the top but Mikhail keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chip McAllister dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Mikhail misses with a takedown attempt

and McAllister counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by McAllister.
McAllister in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
McAllister trying to control but Mikhail is working from the bottom.
Mikhail wants to stand and escape but McAllister is having none of it.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chip McAllister hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
McAllister misses with a takedown

and Mikhail decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McAllister's guard.
McAllister tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Mikhail sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McAllister's guard.

McAllister is positioning himself well to prevent Mikhail advancing to mount.

McAllister makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McAllister.
Mikhail trying to control the position from guard on top but McAllister is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mikhail tries to free his leg and advance position but McAllister is retaining full guard.
Mikhail throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McAllister works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mikhail trying to control the position from guard on top but McAllister is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mikhail slips nicely into half guard.
Mikhail is keen to just control but McAllister is a slippery customer.
McAllister wants to control but Mikhail is keeping busy.

McAllister keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Chip McAllister has got the better of the ground game so far.
McAllister keeping hold of Mikhail's head, controlling as best he can.
McAllister trying to hold on to Mikhail's head to control him but Mikhail postures up.

Chip McAllister has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

McAllister gets a takedown into half guard.
Mikhail wants to get back to his feet.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McAllister connects with a nice short shot to Mikhail's temple.

Mikhail kicks McAllister off and gets back to his feet.

and Mikhail counters with a nice double leg into side control. McAllister won't be happy with that.
McAllister is breathing heavily.
McAllister prevents Mikhail from improving position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McAllister is trying to control Mikhail's posture but Mikhail avoids it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vladimir Mikhail dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

McAllister avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mikhail circles away from the clinch attempt.
McAllister tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McAllister tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mikhail swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Horrible takedown by McAllister or perhaps it was just good defense by Mikhail which made him look bad.

McAllister gets control of Mikhail's arms and successfully pulls guard. McAllister will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McAllister wants to sweep here but Mikhail controlling him for the moment.
McAllister keeping moving, preventing Mikhail from controlling successfully.
McAllister wants to get back to his feet but Mikhail is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
McAllister takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McAllister wants to sweep here but Mikhail controlling him for the moment.
Mikhail tries to free his leg and advance position but McAllister is retaining full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mikhail shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Mikhail looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Mikhail goes for an armbar but McAllister turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McAllister.
McAllister in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
McAllister looking to sit in guard and control but Mikhail gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mikhail passes McAllister's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mikhail is trying to control. McAllister wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Mikhail has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
McAllister tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mikhail thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
McAllister tries to lock up and control but Mikhail gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
McAllister keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
McAllister wants to control but Mikhail is having none of it.
McAllister avoids a series of strikes thrown by Mikhail.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Mikhail trying to control but he's not successful this time.
McAllister taking shots to the head.
McAllister is working to get back to half guard.
McAllister is squirming around, avoiding Mikhail's attempts to control the action.
McAllister regains half guard.

Mikhail wants to work for an arm triangle but McAllister is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Vladimir Mikhail showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Mikhail has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
