The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taber is looking to slow Sakamoto down with leg kicks.
Sakamoto takes one to the side of the head.
An inside leg kick lands from Taber.
Taber lands a left and a right that send Sakamoto crashing to the mat, dazed. Taber thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Sakamoto is rocked!
It looks like Mabishiro Sakamoto has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Taber lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Sakamoto falls backwards - clearly groggy! Taber dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
