Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Arona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Forrest Arona!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arona throws out a loose jab but Daniels uses good head movement to avoid it.
Arona blocks a head kick by Daniels.
Arona misses with the combination.
Arona throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Daniels sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Arona drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Daniels utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Arona postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Daniels is on top in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Arona can do anything to dispel that myth.
Arona wants to improve his position but instead Daniels has moved into half guard.
Arona wants to get back to full guard but Daniels has passed into side control.
Daniels prevents Arona from getting the reversal.

Daniels get's back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Arona thows a left - swing and a miss!
Arona pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Daniels throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Arona misses with a looping right.
Daniels stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Daniels wants it to stay on the feet.
Daniels pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Daniels slips a straight right by Arona.
Arona fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Arona feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Arona stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Daniels swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Daniels is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Arona must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Arona got a little sloppy there for a moment and Daniels has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Arona has managed to get both his arms back between Daniels's legs - danger averted.
Daniels is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Arona lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Arona loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Arona throws and elbow that misses. Daniels uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Arona's guard. Nice move by Daniels!

Arona lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Daniels!
The referee warns Daniels that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Arona scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arona landing punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Arona lands a nice shot to the head.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Arona lands a big shot to the head and Daniels winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
