Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aiden Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Catrina Andrei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mitchell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Andrei's guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mitchell lands a nice short elbow.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mitchell is pushing Andrei's head away, looking to escape. Andrei manages to hold on to the position though.
You can see the frustration on Mitchell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mitchell wants to get back to his feet but Andrei drags him back down.
Aiden Mitchell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Andrei is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mitchell defends it well.
