Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Walsh!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Batton!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Batton lands with an overhand left.
Walsh gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Walsh lands with a hook. Batton tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Walsh misses with an uppercut.
Walsh missing with a left hand there. Batton was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A big left from Walsh misses.
Batton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Batton misses with a hook
and Walsh counters with a right hand to the body.
Walsh slips a jab from Batton.
Walsh ducks right into an uppercut from Batton.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walsh throws a shot from downtown. Batton moves away and avoids it.
Batton lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Batton looks to land a left hand but Walsh moved out of range nicely.
A head kick misses from Batton.
Walsh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Batton.
Walsh throws a left and a right that both miss
and Batton counters with a nice body shot.
Walsh just misses with a punch to the body.
A slow jab from Batton misses its intended target.
Walsh ducks under a wild hook from Batton.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Batton swings for the body but Walsh moves out of range.
Batton moves out of range of the strikes.
Batton is looking to chop away at Walsh's legs.
Batton with a jab.
Walsh loads up on a big right hand but Batton slips the punch.
Nice cross by Walsh.
Walsh avoids the body shot from Batton.
A telegraphed right hand from Walsh misses the target.
Walsh jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Batton throws the left hand but Walsh avoids the punch easily.
The fighters circling - Walsh throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Batton rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Walsh counters with a stiff right hand.
