Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between trevor gunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paolo Donatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, trevor gunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paolo Donatti!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donatti keeps the fight on the outside.
No luck for gunter with that takedown attempt.
gunter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Donatti tries to avoid it but gunter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Donatti to the ground. Donatti escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Donatti avoids the head kick by gunter.
gunter wants to clinch.

gunter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Donatti is trying to get back to half guard.

gunter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Donatti manages to work his way to half guard, despite gunter's best efforts.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
gunter tries to pass the half guard into mount. Donatti knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Donatti is staying active underneath gunter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Donatti tries to get to full guard but gunter has control of the leg.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
gunter shoots in looking for a takedown. Donatti tries to sprawl out of it but gunter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Donatti manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for trevor gunter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

gunter darts in and clinches Donatti up against the cage.

Donatti working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. gunter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. gunter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Donatti is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but gunter pulls his head out easily.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Donatti is trying to stand.
gunter wants to pass the guard but Donatti is defending well.
gunter passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Donatti!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

gunter is trying to stick to Donatti's back but Donatti is turning into gunter. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in gunter's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Donatti.
Donatti sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed gunter's guard.
Donatti is trying to control the action in half guard but gunter is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

gunter wants to control but Donatti is keeping busy and won't allow it.

gunter is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Donatti pulls his head out easily.

gunter throws a jab but it's blocked by Donatti.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from gunter.
trevor gunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Donatti wants to slow gunter down by chopping away at his legs.
Donatti shoots for a double leg takedown but gunter sprawls well. He's pushed Donatti's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

gunter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Donatti looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! gunter has picked Donatti up and slammed him! Donatti can't keep hold of the triangle and gunter manages to pass to side control!
