Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buzz Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sawyer has chosen I Gotta Get Paid as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell fails with a takedown attempt.

Sawyer is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Mitchell defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Mitchell drops back looking for a leg! Sawyer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sawyer manages to kick Mitchell off! Mitchell jumps back into Sawyer's guard.

Sawyer looking for a guillotine here but Mitchell defends easily.

Sawyer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mitchell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mitchell slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Mitchell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sawyer takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Sawyer moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Sawyer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mitchell is one step ahead there.
Mitchell works over Sawyer with some ground and pound from guard.

Mitchell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Mitchell won't allow Sawyer to sweep him here.

Sawyer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mitchell is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sawyer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mitchell's back instead.

Mitchell manages to reverse the position and now he's in Sawyer's guard. Nice work there by Mitchell.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Mitchell is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Sawyer is working for a rear naked choke. Mitchell is not defending it well and Sawyer has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Mitchell refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Mitchell's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
