Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boss Lacombe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, JR StClair! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lacombe moves out of range of the body kick. Lacombe wants to clinch. StClair lands a high kick!
StClair gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Lacombe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. StClair creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lacombe's defenses. A short uppercut from Lacombe. StClair fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lacombe misses with a knee strike.
StClair prevents Lacombe from breaking the clinch. Lacombe is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. StClair drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lacombe lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Lacombe with an attempt at a knee that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. StClair is trying to control but can't.

StClair wants to improve his position but Lacombe is controlling well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lacombe lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. StClair clinches up with Lacombe and pushes him back against the cage. StClair ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. StClair no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. StClair scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Lacombe tries to grapple but his opponent circles and StClair counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lacombe wants to clinch so StClair counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. StClair postures up in Lacombe's guard and throws a big left but Lacombe blocks it. Lacombe looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. StClair loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. StClair distracts Lacombe with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Lacombe wants to control but StClair passes easily into half guard.
Lacombe wants to sweep but StClair has passed to side control! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. StClair just content to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
JR StClair dominated that round. That's time! Lacombe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
StClair bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lacombe is looking to regain half guard here but StClair keeps moving and retains side control. Lacombe struggling a bit here. Lacombe manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. StClair is looking for a kimura here.
StClair is taking a breather. Lacombe says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lacombe is trying to get back to full guard. StClair is controlling the pace.
Lacombe is pressing down on StClair's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. StClair engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. StClair postures up.
JR StClair has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. StClair changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lacombe tries to avoid it but StClair manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lacombe to the ground. Lacombe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. StClair tries to clinch and Lacombe counters by moving into the clinch. Lacombe is stalling here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lacombe is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lacombe is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. StClair missing with knees to the body.
StClair tries to pull guard but Lacombe holds him up against the cage and eventually StClair drops back down to his feet.
Boss Lacombe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JR StClair. Lacombe throws a punch but it's blocked by StClair. A frustrated look appears on Lacombe's face as he tries to break the clinch. A left hand lands to the body for Lacombe.
StClair is breathing heavily. StClair tries to break the clinch but Lacombe is controlling the position. Lacombe blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A quick uppercut on the inside from Lacombe. StClair jumps guard but Lacombe stands there with StClair around his waist. StClair gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

StClair takes a knee to the side of the body. StClair is trying to force a seperation but Lacombe has the dominant position. StClair fails to pull guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lacombe displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from StClair. Lacombe closes the distance looking to clinch and StClair counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lacombe's guard now. Lacombe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in StClair's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lacombe wants to control from the top but StClair keeps moving. Lacombe tries to stand but StClair is controlling from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Boss Lacombe will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
StClair sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Lacombe throws a sloppy head kick and StClair moves out of range easily. Lacombe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. StClair throws a head kick that misses and Lacombe counters with a big head kick but StClair shrugs it off. StClair blocks a head kick by Lacombe.
StClair closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Let's hope that StClair has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lacombe is not content to let StClair control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lacombe is trying to stand back up but StClair is controlling him
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by JR StClair. StClair avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
StClair tries to clinch but Lacombe moves out of range. StClair circles away from the clinch attempt and StClair counters with a takedown into side control. StClair decides to stand back up. StClair steps back and let's Lacombe get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lacombe wants to clinch and StClair counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lacombe's guard now. This has been an exciting period of action! StClair slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. StClair trying to control the position from guard on top but Lacombe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. StClair stopping the sweep attempt from Lacombe. Lacombe is pulling down on StClair's head. It's preventing any offense from StClair, at least for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Lacombe looking to hit a scissor sweep but StClair is one step ahead there.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lacombe lands with a kick to the ribs.
StClair takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. The fight stays on the outside here - StClair looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lacombe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lacombe closes the distance looking to clinch enabling StClair to counter with a crisp jab. Lacombe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. StClair has Lacombe pushed against the cage. Lacombe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. StClair has Lacombe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lacombe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Lacombe with an attempt at a knee that misses.
And that's the end of the fight! JR StClair comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think StClair has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
