The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzpatrick ducks under a wild hook from Luck.
Mick Fitzpatrick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fitzpatrick uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Luck.

The fighters circle momentarily. Fitzpatrick darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Luck lands with a short shot to the head.
Fitzpatrick tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Fitzpatrick misses with some punches.
Fitzpatrick wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Luck lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fitzpatrick at a distance.

and Luck counters with a three punch combo that has Fitzpatrick backing up. Fitzpatrick nods at Luck to acknowledge the strikes.
Fitzpatrick throws a hook to the side of Luck's head but Luck sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fitzpatrick is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Fitzpatrick takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Luck misses with a hook
and Fitzpatrick counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Fitzpatrick throws a leg kick which misses Luck's front leg but catches the back leg as Luck tries to avoid it.
Fitzpatrick misses with a takedown attempt - Luck sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fitzpatrick walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Luck looks to score with a jab to the body but Fitzpatrick is just out of range.
Fitzpatrick misses with an uppercut
and Luck counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fitzpatrick thinking.
Fitzpatrick shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Luck is trying to defend but Fitzpatrick finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Fitzpatrick looks to land a strike but Luck avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Luck wants to stand up but Fitzpatrick is controlling him.

Fitzpatrick lands a couple of elbows.

Fitzpatrick throws and elbow that misses. Luck uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fitzpatrick's guard. Nice move by Luck!
Fitzpatrick is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fitzpatrick manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Luck is looking to improve his position but Fitzpatrick isn't that keen on the idea.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Fitzpatrick! Luck is hurt baaadly! Fitzpatrick is firing away with more strikes - Luck is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
