Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ducci Dante! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mar Lane! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lane shoots in but Dante avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dante scores with a one two! Lane had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Lane bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ducci Dante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dante manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dante keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lane shoots in for a takedown but Dante shows good takedown defense. Ducci Dante has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mar Lane.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dante tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dante looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Dante uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lane.
Dante pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Dante moves out of range of the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lane slips a jab and a cross from Dante.
Lane on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lane. Lane closes the distance and clinches up with Dante, looking for a takedown. Lane pushes Dante against the cage but Dante circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ducci Dante is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dante misses with the combination.

Dante looks to land a combination but Lane avoids it well. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Dante swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dante looks to land a body kick but Lane moved away. Lane misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Lane blocks a head kick by Dante.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Some wild striking there from Dante.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dante slaps away a takedown attempt from Lane, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dante throws a sloppy head kick and Lane moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice defenses there by Dante. Lane throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dante throws a right and a left that Lane avoids nicely. Dante rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lane moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ducci Dante is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dante throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dante misses with a few strikes there.

Ducci Dante dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Sloppy strikes from Dante. Those never looked like landing. Dante lands with a slapping head kick. A punch lands to the side of Lane 's head but he takes it in his stride. Dante tries to sprawl but Lane drives through with a takedown into half guard. Lane trying to control the action but Dante is working from the bottom. Well, if Lane is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lane is working for a kimura but Dante is defending it quite comfortably.
Lane is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Dante is staying active underneath Lane, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dante pushes Lane off looking to stand but Lane dives back in and keeps control.
Dante knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lane on the ground. Lane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dante keeps working. Lane trying to control from Dante's half guard. Dante has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dante is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lane is controlling him. Lane trying to control the position from guard on top but Dante is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lane works a leg free and moves into half guard. Lane maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Dante could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Lane has cracked it and Dante is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Lane!
