Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Starks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes to the cage accompanied by Slayer - Jesus Saves. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesus Sanchez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tony Starks!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starks darts in trying to clinch

so Sanchez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Sanchez is stalling in the full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Jesus Sanchez wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Starks napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The strikes coming from Sanchez are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Sanchez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Starks is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Starks tries to kick Sanchez off but Sanchez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Well, if Sanchez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Starks is trying to stand back up but Sanchez is controlling him

Sanchez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sanchez is looking to advance position but Starks won't allow it.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Starks defends it well.

Sanchez is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Sanchez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Sanchez stalling away here and it's allowed Starks to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Sanchez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Starks finds it's way round the side to connect with Sanchez's head.
Tony Starks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sanchez has Starks pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sanchez pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Starks tumbling to the mat - Sanchez dives into Starks's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jesus Sanchez.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Starks is posturing up here but Sanchez has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Starks tries to roll out but it's too tight and Starks has to tap! Slick submission there by Sanchez!
