The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter avoids the body shot from Jones.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Carter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jones feints a jab promting Carter to slip. Jones then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Carter slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Calvin Carter has been cut.
Carter fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jones gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Carter.
Jones misses with a wild combination.
Carter slips a straight right by Jones.
Jones throws a right hand that Carter ducks under and follows up with a left that Carter also avoids with ease.
Carter loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carter scores with a leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Jones scores with a shot to the body.
Carter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Carter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jones's efforts to push away.

Carter lands a hook that snaps the head of Jones backwards.
Carter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jones is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Carter rather than just go for the knockout.
Carter throws a solid leg kick but Jones takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Carter.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Carter tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
Jones's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Carter connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jones scrambles back to his feet.
Carter connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jones's hands.
Carter lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Carter.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Carter shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Carter slips under a jab.
Carter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jones takes one to the chin there.

Jones takes a swing at Carter's ribcage but misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Carter.
Jones looks gassed!
Jones throws a nice looking combination but Carter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Carter clinches up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Carter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carter is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Jones misses with a hook.
Jones cracks Carter with a good jab.
Jones throws a big shot that misses.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Carter! Jones is out on his feet! Carter rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Jones is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Jones is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Calvin Carter!
