Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edilson Rubiera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matto Monni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rubiera's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, ratamahatta. Monni has chosen AC/DC - Shoot to thrill as his entrance music. Matto Monni acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubiera smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Monni with a poor takedown
and Rubiera counters with a nice leg kick.
Monni wants to clinch
and Rubiera counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rubiera.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rubiera wants to pass the guard but Monni is keeping the position.
Rubiera scoring with some ground and pound.
Monni escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rubiera gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rubiera trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Monni has his foot on Rubiera's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rubiera works his way back into a safe position though.
Monni is looking for a triangle but Rubiera pushes his legs off easily.
Rubiera makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Monni looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Monni looks gassed!
Rubiera stays in close to Monni's body and controls the position.

Rubiera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Monni swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Monni isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rubiera stacks Monni on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rubiera!
Monni is looking to reverse the position.
Monni is not content to let Rubiera control the position.
Rubiera has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Rubiera trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Monni keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like Matto Monni has been cut.

Monni is trying to get back to full guard.
Rubiera frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Monni can't escape the position.
Rubiera is working for a guillotine from mount but Monni frees his head quite easily.

Monni is desperately trying to improve his position but Rubiera has a good base and remains in mount.
Rubiera has control of Monni's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Monni regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Monni is in a horrible position here. Rubiera smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edilson Rubiera dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Matto Monni's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A decent looking cross lands there for Rubiera.
Monni has Rubiera up against the cage in a clinch.
Rubiera is pressed up against the cage. Monni has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rubiera down to the mat. Rubiera avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rubiera throws a nice outside leg kick.
Monni gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Rubiera counters with a stiff right hand.
Matto Monni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping leg kick lands for Rubiera.
Monni moves to clinch but Rubiera breaks away
and Rubiera counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Monni!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Monni is wriggling around trying to escape.
Monni is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Rubiera lands a nice shot to the head.
That has opened up Matto Monni's cut even more.

Monni is squirming around, avoiding Rubiera's attempts to control the action.

Monni is breathing heavily.
Edilson Rubiera overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rubiera takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Matto Monni's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Matto Monni's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
