Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Damian Swan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sum Yung Guy!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yung Guy closes the distance but Swan moves to the side
so Swan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Swan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Yung Guy is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Swan dives into side control.
Swan in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Swan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Swan fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Yung Guy wants to get back to his feet.
Yung Guy is looking to get back to his feet here but Swan is keeping cool and he's managed to take Yung Guy's back.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Swan has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Yung Guy! Can he survive? No! He's out! Swan gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
