The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Goryachev shoots and misses
and Villar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Goryachev is trying to control the position but Villar postures up.
Villar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Villar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Goryachev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Villar on the ground.
Villar drops back looking for a leg! Goryachev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Goryachev manages to kick Villar off! Villar jumps back into Goryachev's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Villar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Villar drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Villar as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Goryachev screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Villar! Nice submission victory there!
