Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lito Lapid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nik Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lito Lapid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nik Volkov! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Volkov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lapid counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Volkov's guard now. Volkov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Volkov pushes Lapid off and scrambles back to his feet.
Volkov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Volkov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lapid.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Volkov. Volkov tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Volkov tries to score with some ground and pound. Lapid controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Volkov fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Volkov working the ground and pound but Lapid is defending the strikes. Volkov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lapid keeps working. Volkov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lapid, who protects the arm well. Lapid regains half guard. Lapid preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Volkov is keen to just control but Lapid is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lapid is trying to get back to full guard. Volkov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Volkov is trying to work for a kimura but Lapid is defending well.
Volkov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lapid does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Volkov seems to be working for a kimura but Lapid defends the submission attempt. Lapid is staying active underneath Volkov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lapid blocking the ground and pound attempt from Volkov. Volkov tries to pass to full mount but Lapid defends it. Volkov missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Volkov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Volkov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lapid does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Volkov content to control rather than advance. Volkov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lito Lapid will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Volkov shoots in looking for a takedown but Lapid manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Volkov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Volkov avoids the head kick by Lapid.
A head kick misses from Lapid. Volkov tries for a takedown but Lapid circles away easily and Lapid counters with a head kick. That will keep Volkov thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Volkov shoots and misses and Lapid counters with a flying knee. Nice. Lito Lapid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nik Volkov. Volkov blocks a head kick by Lapid.
Lapid lets loose with a powerful body kick. Volkov will feel that in the morning. Lapid thows a body shot but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lapid misses with a wild body shot. Lito Lapid is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lapid tries a head kick but it misses.
Nik Volkov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Volkov checks a leg kick. Volkov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lapid to the mat! Lapid manages to get full guard. Lapid trying to control the position.
Volkov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Volkov with a nice head shot there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Volkov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lapid keeping moving, preventing Volkov from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Volkov showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Volkov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lapid wants to stand and escape but Volkov is having none of it. Volkov wants to control from the top but Lapid keeps moving. Lapid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Volkov on the ground. Volkov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Nik Volkov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Volkov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lapid looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Volkov trying to control the action but Lapid is working from the bottom. Volkov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lapid, who protects the arm well. Volkov throws a strike aimed at the side of Lapid's head but Lapid avoids it well. Volkov lands a few punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Volkov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Lapid defending against the ground and pound. Volkov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lapid knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Volkov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lapid keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nik Volkov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Volkov shoots and misses and Lapid counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Volkov misses with a takedown attempt - Lapid sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Volkov scores a takedown into full mount! Volkov tries to control but Lapid wriggling away. Lapid wants to control but Volkov is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Volkov trying to control but he's not successful this time. Volkov is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Lapid really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Volkov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lapid's face.
Volkov swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lapid is now in Volkov's guard. A big mistake from Volkov there, giving up the dominant position!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Volkov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Volkov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Volkov wants to sweep here but Lapid controlling him for the moment. Volkov looking to control.
Volkov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lapid's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Volkov's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Volkov cracks Lapid with a solid left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Volkov throws a big right hand that misses. Volkov lands a couple of decent looking shots. Volkov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Volkov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lapid utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lapid has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Volkov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lapid. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Volkov grinds an elbow into Lapid's temple. Volkov landing a few strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Nik Volkov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Volkov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
