Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between christoph gale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kla Mydia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
gale throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mydia's waist but Mydia gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing gale off to one side.
gale shoots in and drives through. Mydia sprawls well.
Mydia moves in looking to clinch but gale pushes him off.
No luck for gale with that takedown attempt.

gale changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mydia tries to avoid it but gale manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mydia to the ground. Mydia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Mydia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

gale has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mydia defend it? gale steps over the head and cranks it - Mydia is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for gale!
