Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Macho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Fernando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macho's entrance music is "Woman From Tokyo". A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernando scores a takedown into full mount!
Fernando looking to ground and pound but Macho is blocking nicely.
Fernando wants to control the pace but Macho is squirming around nicely.

Macho is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Fernando tries to control but Macho wriggling away.
Fernando goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Macho is on top in guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fernando is on top in guard.

Fernando is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Macho knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fernando on the ground.

Fernando slips nicely into half guard.
Fernando is looking to advance position but Macho won't allow it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Macho is wriggling around trying to escape.
Fernando tries to control but Macho wriggling away.
Fernando working for a submission but Macho is keeping him at bay.

BOOM! Fernando connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ali Fernando dominated that round.

Macho misses with a low kick.
Fernando fails with the takedown.
Fernando uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Macho.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fernando is defended easily by Macho.
An inside leg kick lands from Macho.
Macho shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Macho goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Fernando is on top in guard.
Fernando postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Macho is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fernando , into his guard.

Macho throws and elbow that misses. Fernando uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Macho's guard. Nice move by Fernando !
Fernando drops back, looking for a kneebar! Macho looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Macho looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Macho!
Macho tries to score with some ground and pound. Fernando controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Fernando gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Macho wants to stand up but Fernando has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Fernando is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Macho takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Macho thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fernando 's head.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Fernando works his way to full guard. Good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fernando wants to sweep here but Macho controlling him for the moment.

Macho has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fernando is proving hard to escape from.
Fernando has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Macho can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Macho wants to control from the top but Fernando keeps moving.
Fernando looking for a guillotine here but Macho defends easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paul Macho will probably get the nod.
That's time! Macho's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Macho wants to slow Fernando down by chopping away at his legs.
A big right from Macho misses.
Fernando shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Fernando frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Fernando with shots to the head and body - Macho looks very uncomfortable down there.
Fernando is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Macho is surviving well by controlling Fernando 's body position as best he can.
Fernando jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Macho manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Macho is not content to let Fernando control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fernando is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Macho looks calm but he's in trouble here. Fernando gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Macho is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Fernando lets go of the hold and Macho can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ali Fernando !
