Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Gaines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Jamison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kurt Jamison!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jamison misses with a straight right.
Gaines fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jamison.
Gaines displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jamison.
Jamison shoots in for a double leg but Gaines sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gaines is looking to slow Jamison down with leg kicks.
Jamison tries for a takedown but Gaines sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Chris Gaines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Jamison.
Jamison takes a swing at Gaines's ribcage but misses.
The fighters circling - Jamison throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gaines tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gaines shoots in but no luck this time.
Jamison takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Gaines with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Gaines comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Nice shot lands for Jamison.
Gaines uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jamison.
Jamison rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gaines moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gaines needs to keep his hands up - Jamison had a free shot at his head there.
No luck for Jamison with that takedown attempt.
Gaines wants to clinch up but Jamison keeps it at a distance.
Gaines wants to land a leg kick but Jamison is out of range.
Gaines goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gaines looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gaines bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gaines tries a head kick but it misses.

Jamison with a jab.
Jamison blocks a head kick by Gaines.
Jamison lands a jab to the nose.
Gaines tries to clinch up.

and Gaines takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jamison fails with the takedown.

Jamison is looking to clinch.
Jamison fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gaines avoids it really well and circles away.
Jamison checks the leg kick.

and Jamison counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Gaines tries to close the distance and clinch but Jamison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kurt Jamison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gaines stuffs the takedown attempt from Jamison. Jamison gets slowly back to his feet.
Gaines rushes Jamison and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gaines missing with knees to the body.
Jamison has clasped his hands together around Gaines's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Jamison connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gaines some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jamison is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Gaines is trying to escape and Jamison transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Gaines is forced to tap! Nice work there by Jamison! Very nice indeed!
