Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brent Sylosis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaykke Wheaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sylosis swats away the attempt to clinch by Wheaton.
Sylosis is looking to clinch but Wheaton is avoiding it.

Sylosis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sylosis tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sylosis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wheaton is controlling him.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Wheaton is nestled in close to Sylosis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wheaton throws a strike aimed at the side of Sylosis's head but Sylosis avoids it well.

Wheaton wants to control but Sylosis is keeping him busy.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wheaton remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Wheaton misses with a takedown attempt - Sylosis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sylosis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Wheaton moves into the clinch successfully.

Wheaton lands a big uppercut and Sylosis is down! He's in big trouble - Wheaton follows him to the mat!

Oh Sylosis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wheaton is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Sylosis is hurt! He's hurt bad - Wheaton fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Sylosis from any more punishment! Congratulations to Wheaton! Great finish!
