Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davi Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ken Kelly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Davi Silva!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly misses with an uppercut
and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kelly shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Silva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Silva steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kelly.
Silva lands a glancing blow to the side of Kelly's head.
Kelly throws a hook but Silva blocks it.
Silva throws out a loose jab but Kelly uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kelly throws a leg kick but Silva moved away.
Silva throws a body kick that misses.
Kelly digs a good body shot into Silva's ribs.
Silva misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Kelly counters with a left to the body.
Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kelly manages to avoid it.
Silva throws a poor cross that misses
and Kelly makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Kelly moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Silva swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kelly.
Kelly fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Silva.
Silva thuds a left hand into Kelly's body.
Davi Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Good shot there by Kelly.
Silva misses with a low kick.
Kelly scores with a jab.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kelly.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kelly counters with a slapping leg kick.
Silva connects with a body shot.
Kelly swings widly with a right hand
and Silva counters with a nice uppercut.
Silva misses with an uppercut. Kelly saw that one coming.

Nice body punch from Kelly.
Silva bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Silva misses with a hook
and Kelly counters with a good low kick that Silva was not able to check.

Kelly pushes Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Kelly has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kelly misses with a wild body shot.
Silva misses with a body shot.
Silva lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Silva misses with a wild body shot.

Silva throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kelly cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kelly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Both fighters circling a little - Silva finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Silva misses with a shot to the body
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Silva tries to bum rush Kelly with a series of wild strikes but Kelly uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kelly throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.
Silva throws a sloppy head kick
and Kelly counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kelly wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Silva takes a jab right on the kisser.
Silva's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kelly connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Silva scrambles back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva moves away from the strike by Kelly.

Silva looks to land a combination. Kelly sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Kelly walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Silva checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That kick from Silva tenderised Kelly's leg. Kelly is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kelly connects with a body shot.
Silva keeps the fight on the outside.
Silva throws a right hand that Kelly ducks under and follows up with a left that Kelly also avoids with ease.
Silva throws a leg kick which misses Kelly's front leg but catches the back leg as Kelly tries to avoid it.
Davi Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kelly throws a poor cross that misses
and Silva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kelly jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Silva throws a lazy body kick
and Kelly cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kelly misses the shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ken Kelly dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kelly changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kelly lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Silva lands a head kick!
A head kick misses from Kelly.
Kelly blocks a head kick by Silva.
Kelly takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kelly looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kelly tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kelly. That's going to slow Silva down.

Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

A low kick from Kelly is predictable there
and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

A solid leg kick lands there for Kelly.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kelly cracks a nice hook into Silva's ribs.

and Silva counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Silva takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kelly fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Silva throws a poor cross that misses
and Kelly counters with a thumping low kick.
Kelly tries to land a front kick but Silva steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Silva throws a low kick but Kelly moves out of range easily.
Kelly connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

so Kelly counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kelly is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.

Silva is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kelly postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Silva is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kelly, into his guard.
Kelly looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kelly can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Silva controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Kelly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Silva swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kelly throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kelly looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.

and Kelly counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Kelly prevents Silva from improving his position.
Silva wants to control but Kelly is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Kelly is working for a kimura but Silva is defending it quite comfortably.

Kelly is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ken Kelly wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Well Kelly has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
