Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cris Dorh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wallid Ismail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dorh kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Heaven & Hell. Wallid Ismail has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Cris Dorh's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cris Dorh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wallid Ismail! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorh will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ismail gets caught flat footed, as Dorh shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Dorh loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Dorh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ismail utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ismail controls Dorh momentarily but Dorh frees himself. Dorh drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ismail dives on top into guard. Dorh is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ismail is aware though and is defending well. Dorh wants to sweep here but Ismail controlling him for the moment. Ismail pushing down on Dorh's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ismail escapes and gets back to his feet. Dorh misses with a right hand letting Ismail counter with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ismail gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dorh counters with a left and a right that stings Ismail. Dorh fails to land with a series of punches.
Dorh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dorh throws a combination that misses and Ismail counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dorh! Ismail takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Dorh is trying desperately to improve position. Ismail manages to capitalize on a mistake by Dorh to take his back! Dorh manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ismail's guard. Nice work there by Dorh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dorh looking to sit in guard and control but Ismail gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Dorh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ismail's guard. Dorh trying to control but Ismail is working from the bottom. Dorh slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dorh is looking to work some ground and pound but Ismail has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dorh stands and throws Ismail's legs to the side, diving into side control. Dorh working away. Dorh tries for a kimura but Ismail is defending well. Dorh scoring with punches and elbows. Ismail tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dorh wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Ismail can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ismail tries to improve position but can't. Ismail tries to escape but Dorh is in control. Dorh laying and praying for a moment but Ismail takes advantage and regains half guard. Ismail on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Dorh with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Dorh wants to control but Ismail is keeping him busy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dorh trying to mount his opponent but Ismail defends it. Ismail trying to control from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cris Dorh dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ismail drives through with a takedown into guard. Dorh looking for a sweep. Not yet Dorh, not yet. Ismail trying to control but Dorh is working from the bottom. Dorh trying to control the position.
Dorh is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dorh is on top in guard.
Dorh wants to control from the top but Ismail keeps moving. Dorhis looking to pass into half guard but Ismail pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Ismail is in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ismail wants to stand but Dorh has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Ismail postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dorh is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ismail, into his guard. Ismail keeping moving, preventing Dorh from controlling successfully. Dorh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ismail striking from the bottom here. Dorh got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ismail has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dorh has managed to get both his arms back between Ismail's legs - danger averted. Wallid Ismail has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dorh trying to control the position from guard on top but Ismail is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dorh drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ismail dives on top into guard. Dorh is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ismail is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dorh is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dorh has escaped and now he's on top! Dorh trying to move into half guard but instead Ismail has managed to sweep!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ismail is fighting to break Dorh's control of his arms but Dorh is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Ismail preventing the sweep. Dorh wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Dorh looking for a sweep. Not yet Dorh, not yet. Dorh is trying to keep Ismail in close.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dorh seems keen to control Ismail's posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Cris Dorh just wasn't active enough. Left hook, right uppercut from Dorh.
It looks like Wallid Ismail has been cut. Dorh defending well as Ismail loads up on a big left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ismail keeps the fight on the outside. Ismail on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Cris Dorh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dorh stuffs the takedown attempt from Ismail. Ismail gets slowly back to his feet. Dorh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ismail shoots for a takedown but Dorh saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dorh swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ismail counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dorh keeping moving, preventing Ismail from controlling successfully. Dorh lands with a nice body punch. Ismail dodges the punch combination from Dorh.
Ismail fails with the takedown and Dorh counters with a straight right hand. Ismail does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Ismail gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dorh counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Dorh throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ismail decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dorh's guard. Ismail trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dorh's guard.

Dorh has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Ismail won't allow Dorh to sweep him here. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dorh holds on and takes a little breather.
We're going to have a standup here because Cris Dorh wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ismail fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Cris Dorh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wallid Ismail.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dorh throws a right hand that misses
and Ismail counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ismail. Dorh tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ismail drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dorh manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ismail has Dorh in his guard. Dorh is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ismail is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ismail has escaped and now he's on top! Ismail stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dorh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ismail in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ismail wants to control from the top but Dorh keeps moving. Dorh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Dorh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dorh is trying to control the position but Ismail postures up. Dorh keeping moving, preventing Ismail from controlling successfully. Dorh pulls Ismail in close to his closed guard and prevents Ismail from doing any damage or advancing position.
Cris Dorh has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Dorh lands a nice hook to Ismail's body. Ismail takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dorh misses with a lunging right hand
and Ismail counters with a shoot takedown. Dorh fights it but they end up in guard. Ismail tries to free his leg and advance position but Dorh is retaining full guard. Ismail won't allow Dorh to sweep him here. Wallid Ismail has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cris Dorh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ismail throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
