The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wright counters with a single leg into guard. Lee didn't expect that.
Wright is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Lee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wright is controlling him.

We're going to have a standup here because Sid Wright wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Wright wants to finish this one by submission but Lee is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Wright.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wright is on top in guard.

Wright sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lee's guard.

Lee manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Wright drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lee manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wright has Lee in his guard.

Sid Wright overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wright manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lee manages to get himself to full guard.

Wright is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lee is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wright has an Americana. Lee didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Wright is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Wright hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
