Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Amaral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Breekman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amaral comes to the cage accompanied by Invincible Tonight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joseph Amaral! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonas Breekman! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amaral moves to clinch but Breekman breaks away and Breekman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Breekman is looking to work some ground and pound but Amaral has wrist control. Amaral is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Breekman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Amaral. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Breekman's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Breekman working some strikes from top position. Breekman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Breekman wants to control from the top but Amaral keeps moving. Breekman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Breekman with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Breekman lands a couple of elbows. Amaral wants to sweep here but Breekman controlling him for the moment. Breekman is pushing down on Amaral's leg trying to pass to half guard. Amaral is fighting to maintain full guard but Breekman has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Breekman is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Amaral sees it coming and defends easily. Breekman is thwarting Amaral's attempts to control the position. Amaral wants to get back to full guard. Amaral is breathing heavily. Amaral regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Breekman. Breekman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Amaral preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Amaral keeping full guard, as Breekman tries to pass. Breekman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Breekman with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Breekman landing with the ground and pound. Breekman wants to control from the top but Amaral keeps moving. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Breekman passes Amaral's left leg - he's now in half guard. Breekman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Amaral trying to hold on to Breekman's head to control him but Breekman postures up.
Breekman is nestled in close to Amaral, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Breekman misses with a head shot. Amaral uses the momentum to regain guard. Breekman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Amaral looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Breekman is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Breekman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Breekman scoring with punches to the head and body. Breekman sitting in guard, not really doing much. Breekman postures up and lands a big shot to Amaral's brow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Breekman's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Breekman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Amaral working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Breekman. Breekman slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Amaral tries to bench press Breekman off him but Breekman keeps the position. Breekman creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Breekman scoring with punches from side control. Breekman cracks Amaral with an elbow. That is naaassty. Breekman landing a few strikes.
Amaral is rocked! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Breekman creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Oh Amaral is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! A big shot lands for Breekman! That's hurt Amaral! Will he recover? Breekman fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
