The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tepes forces Martinez back against the cage and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Martinez's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Martinez is trying to force a seperation but Tepes has the dominant position.

Tepes has clasped his hands together around Martinez's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Martinez is trying to escape the position but Tepes is controlling the position.

Martinez lands a left and a right that send Tepes crashing to the mat, dazed. Martinez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Vlad Tepes has been cut.

Tepes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That was a close round but I would say that Hugo Martinez will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Tepes shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Martinez napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tepes content just to control the position here.
Tepes fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Tepes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Tepes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Martinez's face.
Poor strikes thrown by Tepes there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Tepes throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Martinez because Tepes loaded up on that one.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tepes is landing with some decent strikes but Martinez is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Oooooh!!! Martinez has knocked Tepes down with a huge combo! Martinez steps away and waves a wobbly Tepes back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Tepes is still on wobbly legs! Can Martinez finish him?
Tepes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Martinez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tepes seems to have recovered his senses.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Martinez.
Martinez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Martinez is pawing at Tepes, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Tepes's nose. Tepes is badly hurt! Martinez pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Tepes tries desperately to hold on but Martinez is relentless in his assault! As Tepes receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Martinez away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hugo Martinez!
