Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Ragno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ragno has chosen The World is Mine as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Aldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maximus Ragno!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ragno throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Aldo lands with a good body shot.
Aldo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Aldo lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Aldo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ragno.
Ragno avoids the head kick by Aldo.
Aldo's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Aldo duly obliges.
It looks like Maximus Ragno has been cut.
Aldo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

It looks like Jose Aldo has been cut.
Ragno fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Aldo.
Aldo lands with a hook. Ragno tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aldo misses with a straight right.
Ragno lands a jab to the head.
Ragno pounces like a tiger and cracks Aldo with a vicious hook! Aldo is down but not out! Ragno follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Maximus Ragno!
