The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verhnevolsky throws a head kick that misses
and Arlovskii counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Verhnevolsky's guard now.
Arlovskii is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arlovskii avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Verhnevolsky looking for a guillotine here but Arlovskii defends easily.
Verhnevolsky controls Arlovskii momentarily but Arlovskii frees himself.
Verhnevolsky looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Arlovskii passes into side control.

Verhnevolsky tries to bench press Arlovskii off him but Arlovskii keeps the position.

Verhnevolsky is trying to escape the position but Arlovskii is controlling the position.
Arlovskii has an Americana. Verhnevolsky didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Arlovskii is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Arlovskii hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
