Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scipio Africanus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tonichie Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tonichie Hong will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scipio Africanus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tonichie Hong!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hong throws a lazy right hand but Africanus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hong takes the fight into the clinch.
Hong breaks from the clinch.
Hong tries to bum rush Africanus with a series of wild strikes but Africanus uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hong wants it to stay on the feet.
Africanus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hong's guard.
Africanus won't allow Hong to sweep him here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hong can do anything to dispel that myth.

Africanus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Africanus somewhat.
Africanus shoots in for a takedown but Hong shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Africanus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hong walks away with a smile on his face. Africanus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hong leaves Africanus with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Scipio Africanus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Africanus shoots in but Hong avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hong has closed the distance and engaged Africanus in a clinch.

Hong throws a nice inside leg kick.
Hong throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Africanus's head.
It looks like Scipio Africanus has been cut.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hong.
Hong tries to clinch up but Africanus circles away and keeps his distance.

Hong throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Hong clinches up with Africanus and pushes him back against the cage.
Africanus wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hong has him pressed against the cage.

Hong fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Africanus.
Africanus gets tackled into the cage by Hong. Hong maintains the clinch.
Africanus tries to pull guard but Hong holds him up against the cage and eventually Africanus drops back down to his feet.
A short body shot lands from Hong as the two fighters clinch.
Hong lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Nice body punch from Hong - that landed with a thud.

Hong lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Hong escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hong moves into range and clinches up with Africanus.
Still in the clinch, Hong scores with a nice short uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Africanus walks into a jab.
Hong lands a big head kick that sends Africanus tumbling to the mat! Hong takes a step backwards and waves Africanus back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Africanus is rocked!
Hong closes the distance and clinches.
Oh Africanus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hong cracks Africanus with a nice body shot.
Africanus seems to have got his legs back now.
Hong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hong moves into the clinch successfully.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hong lands a nice looking body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hong lands with a straight right. Africanus didn't see that one coming.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Africanus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hong pinned against the cage. Hong gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Tonichie Hong seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hong drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Africanus right on the button. Africanus goes down! Hong follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Hong gets the win via TKO!
