Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Dempsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dempsey comes into the arena with On the Eve of War - Jedi Mind Tricks blaring out of the sound system. Travis Lucas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dempsey misses the jab.
Jack Dempsey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dempsey wants to clinch
and Lucas counters with a single leg into guard. Dempsey didn't expect that.
Lucas thows a big elbow that misses.
Lucas slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Lucas loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Lucas stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Dempsey moves out of range of the leg kick from Lucas.
Dempsey tries to clinch up
and Lucas counters with an outside leg kick.

and Lucas counters with a big head kick but Dempsey shrugs it off.

Lucas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dempsey misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lucas.

and Lucas counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Lucas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Lucas counters with a big head kick but Dempsey shrugs it off.

and Lucas counters with a body kick that stops Dempsey in his tracks momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lucas throws a low kick, looking for Dempsey's leg but Dempsey calmly moves out of range.

and Lucas counters with a nice leg kick.
Dempsey is breathing heavily.
Dempsey thows a leg kick but Lucas checks it
and Lucas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dempsey won't be happy with that.

Lucas cracks Dempsey with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Dempsey on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dempsey tries to get out of the position.
Dempsey is being controlled here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lucas connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dempsey some visible discomfort.
Lucas has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Dempsey!

Dempsey wants to hold on but Lucas pushes him away.
Lucas tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lucas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lucas with shots to the head and body - Dempsey looks very uncomfortable down there.
Dempsey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lucas on the ground.

Lucas lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Lucas counters with a nice kick to the body.
Dempsey chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lucas can pounce on him.
Dempsey displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lucas throws out the jab.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lucas's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A big strike lands for Lucas! That's really hurt Dempsey and he's turned his back - Lucas keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Lucas jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
