Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Plainview (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bas Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutten has chosen El Guapo Likes To Dance as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plainview looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rutten is fending him off so far but Plainview persists. Nope, Rutten circles away and we're back to standing. Rutten darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Plainview manages to get to full guard.
Rutten throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Plainview works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Plainview not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rutten trying to control but Plainview is working from the bottom. Rutten slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutten throwing strikes but missing. Plainview is trying to control the position but Rutten postures up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Rutten lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rutten distracts Plainview with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Rutten prevents Plainview from getting back to his feet. Plainview is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rutten lands a couple of decent looking shots. Rutten really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Plainview. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Plainview controls Rutten momentarily but Rutten frees himself. Rutten landing with the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Plainview looking for a guillotine here but Rutten defends easily.
Plainview looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Plainview is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rutten with a nice head shot there. Plainview is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rutten trying to control but Plainview is working from the bottom. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rutten's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Plainview working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rutten. Plainview looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Plainview keeping moving, preventing Rutten from controlling successfully. Rutten works over Plainview with some ground and pound from guard. Rutten lands a couple of decent looking shots. Rutten trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Plainview utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rutten avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rutten won't allow Plainview to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bas Rutten dominated that round. The cut man is working on Daniel Plainview's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rutten closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rutten lands in his opponent's guard. Plainview trying to keep a closed guard but Rutten is proving a slippery customer.
Rutten wants to control from the top but Plainview keeps moving. Rutten stands up over Plainview, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rutten working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Plainview has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutten throws a big right hand that misses. Rutten scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Rutten working some strikes from top position. Rutten missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Plainview wants to sweep but no luck. Rutten wants to control from the top but Plainview keeps moving. Rutten throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Plainview lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rutten! Plainview working for a submission but Rutten is keeping him at bay. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Plainview tries to control but Rutten wriggling away. Rutten tries to hold on but Plainview pushes him away. Rutten is in all sorts of trouble here.
Plainview trying to control but Rutten is having none of it. Rutten holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Plainview tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rutten's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Plainview misses with a head shot. You get the feeling that Rutten really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Rutten is looking to improve his position but Plainview isn't that keen on the idea. Plainview is working for a guillotine from mount but Rutten frees his head quite easily.
Rutten tries to hold on but Plainview pushes him away. Rutten is wriggling around trying to escape.
Plainview looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Plainview works his way to his opponent's back.
Rutten is trying to get back to his feet but Plainview has full control of the position and if anything, Rutten has just worked his way into a worse spot. Plainview working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Rutten is doing well to defend. Plainview seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Rutten is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Daniel Plainview!
