Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Glen Quagmire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emils Hartmanis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glen Quagmire could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Emils Hartmanis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glen Quagmire! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Emils Hartmanis! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quagmire looks to throw a body kick and Hartmanis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Quagmire's guard now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hartmanis wants to control from the top but Quagmire keeps moving. Hartmanis postures up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Quagmire misses with a wild body shot. Quagmire misses the shot to the body. Hartmanis fails with a takedown attempt. Quagmire misses with a looping right. Hartmanis clinches up against the cage. Hartmanis pulls Quagmire into guard.
Hartmanis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Quagmire gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quagmire trying to control but Hartmanis is working from the bottom. Quagmire drops back looking for a leg! Hartmanis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hartmanis manages to kick Quagmire off! Quagmire jumps back into Hartmanis's guard. Quagmire trying to control but Hartmanis is working from the bottom. Quagmire looking to pass the guard. Quagmire throwing strikes but missing. Hartmanis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Quagmire drops back looking for a leg! Hartmanis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hartmanis manages to kick Quagmire off! Quagmire jumps back into Hartmanis's guard. Hartmanis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Quagmire can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Quagmire trying to control the position from guard on top but Hartmanis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Quagmire throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hartmanis works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Quagmire wants to control from the top but Hartmanis keeps moving. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Quagmire throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quagmire throws a big right hand that misses. Quagmire thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hartmanis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Quagmire's guard. Quagmire keeping moving, preventing Hartmanis from controlling successfully. Hartmanis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Quagmire has his foot on Hartmanis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hartmanis works his way back into a safe position though. Hartmanis trying to control the position from guard on top but Quagmire is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Quagmire has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Quagmire looking for a guillotine here but Hartmanis defends easily.
Hartmanis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quagmire swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quagmire has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hartmanis should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Quagmire has tightened it up now! Hartmanis should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
