Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvagh Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Calvagh Reed! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reed gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Santos counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Reed is trying to stand back up but Santos is controlling him
Santos seems to be looking for submissions.
Santos performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reed is looking to escape. Santos is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Reed has managed to free his arm - good work. Reed trying to control from the bottom.

It looks like Calvagh Reed has been cut. Santos lands the left hand. Santos darts in and clinches Reed up against the cage. Santos prevents the takedown attempt.

Reed misses with a punch on the inside.
A shot in the inside from Santos. Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Reed is trying desperately to land a takedown but Santos is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Reed. Reed misses with a takedown and Santos counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Santos. Santos connects with a knee to the head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reed needs to keep his hands up - Santos had a free shot at his head there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reed has his takedown stuffed and Santos counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Reed misses with a takedown and Santos counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Santos closes the distance and clinches.
