Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joao Carlos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neguinho Dopastoreio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Nego drama. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Carlos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Neguinho Dopastoreio! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dopastoreio circles away from the clinch attempt and Dopastoreio counters with a shoot takedown. Carlos fights it but they end up in guard. Carlos controls Dopastoreio momentarily but Dopastoreio frees himself. Dopastoreio is stalling in the full guard. Let's hope that Dopastoreio has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dopastoreio trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Carlos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dopastoreio is one step ahead there. Dopastoreio controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Neguinho Dopastoreio wasn't active enough on the ground. Carlos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Dopastoreio is looking for a sweep. Carlos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlos is trying to control the action in half guard but Dopastoreio is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Carlos is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Dopastoreio moves into full guard.
Carlos is looking to stand up but Dopastoreio won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dopastoreio is on top in guard.
Carlos looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dopastoreio's corner is telling him to maintain position. Dopastoreio tries to free his leg and advance position but Carlos is retaining full guard. Dopastoreio is pushing down on Carlos's leg trying to pass to half guard. Carlos is fighting to maintain full guard but Dopastoreio has managed to sneak the leg through. Carlos wants to improve his position but Dopastoreio is controlling well.
Dopastoreio is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dopastoreio content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Carlos trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dopastoreio is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Carlos sees it coming and defends easily. Carlos has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dopastoreio is working away from the top position though. Dopastoreio sitting and controlling from the half guard. Dopastoreio is trying for a kimura here. Carlos looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Dopastoreio wins by kimura!
