Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fredrick Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mihail Monarkki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mihail Monarkki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mihail Monarkki! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot lands for Reyes. Monarkki keeps the fight on the outside. Monarkki shoots in but no luck this time. The fight stays on the outside here - Reyes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Reyes throws a series of punches but Monarkki avoids them all with ease. Reyes tries to clinch but Monarkki is having none of it. Reyes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Monarkki sees it coming and avoids it easily. Reyes tries to clinch up but Monarkki circles away and keeps his distance. Monarkki slips a jab and a cross from Reyes.

Monarkki drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Monarkki thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Monarkki sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Reyes's guard.

Monarkki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reyes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Monarkki is looking for a kimura. Mihail Monarkki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Monarkki steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reyes. Fredrick Reyes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Reyes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Monarkki paws at him with a jab and circles away. Reyes scores with a nice head shot. Reyes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Reyes was covering up waiting for the punch and Monarkki finishes the takedown easily into guard. Reyes wants to get back to his feet but Monarkki is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Monarkki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reyes is keeping the position for now.

Monarkki closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Reyes did well to prevent Monarkki getting side control. Monarkki is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Reyes is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
