Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Feer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Peter Fisher has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Feer!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher tries a head kick but it misses.
Feer doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fisher lands a head kick. Feer smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Fisher lands a big uppercut and Feer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Feer looks OK. Fisher waves Feer back to his feet!


Feer is rocked!
Feer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fisher avoids it really well and circles away.
Feer is still on wobbly legs! Can Fisher finish him?
Horrible takedown by Feer or perhaps it was just good defense by Fisher which made him look bad.
Feer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Feer seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Feer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fisher.
Fisher swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Feer counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Feer.
Fisher misses with a punch to the body.
Fisher wants to break the clinch but can't.
Fisher misses with a hook from the clinch.
Fisher swings wildly with an uppercut but Feer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fisher manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Feer pushes Fisher back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Feer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fisher just stands there and leans against the cage.
Peter Fisher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Feer.
Feer blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Feer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Feer moves into the clinch successfully.
Feer taking a breather.

Feer jumps into guard, dragging Fisher to the mat.
Fisher postures up in Feer's guard and throws a big left but Feer blocks it.
Fisher wants to control from the top but Feer keeps moving.
Feer manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Feer working away from the top, dropping strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Feer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Fisher throwing hammer fists to the chest of Feer. What's that going to do exactly?
Feer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Fisher wants to control but Feer is having none of it.
Fisher keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Feer is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fisher can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fisher tries to hold on but Feer pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Feer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Feer blocks Fisher's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Fisher is working to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Feer sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Fisher keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Feer controlling from the full mount.
Fisher tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Feer landing strikes from the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Feer controlling the position easily from mount.
Let's hope that Feer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Fisher is looking to improve his position but Feer isn't that keen on the idea.
Feer controlling the pace for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Josh Feer hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Fisher throws a sloppy head kick and Feer moves out of range easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Josh Feer will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Feer feints and as Fisher raises his hands in defense, Feer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Feer forces his way into half guard.
Feer is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Feer slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Feer decides to stand up.
Jab by Fisher.
Peter Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Feer closes the distance and clinches up with Fisher, looking for a takedown. Feer pushes Fisher against the cage but Fisher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fisher thuds his right hand into Feer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fisher throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Feer dodges the punch combination from Fisher.
Fisher is looking to land body kicks.
Fisher throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Feer blocks the body kick.
A jab from Fisher misses.
Fisher connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fisher throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Feer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fisher's guard.
Feer is breathing heavily.
Fisher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Feer gets full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Feer can do anything to dispel that myth.
Feer has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Fisher missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fisher has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Feer is proving hard to escape from.
Feer has control of Fisher's left arm, preventing Fisher from doing any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fisher wants to control from the top but Feer keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Fisher connects with a good right hand that stumbles Feer. Feer circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Oooooh!!! Fisher has knocked Feer down with a huge combo! Fisher steps away and waves a wobbly Feer back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Josh Feer has been cut.
Feer looks for a takedown but Fisher sprawls well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fisher throws a nice inside leg kick.
Fisher misses with a body kick.
Fisher throws a leg kick that is checked

and Feer counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fisher!
Feer looking to control but Fisher is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Feer avoids the attempt from Fisher to control.
Feer throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Fisher wants to control but Feer is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fisher is looking to get to half guard.
Feer looking to control and managing it successfully.
Fisher tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fisher regains half guard.
Fisher wants to control but Feer is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Feer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fisher as he jumps to the side.
Peter Fisher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Feer.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fisher goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Fisher bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Feer's head backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Peter Fisher will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Josh Feer's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Fisher rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Feer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fisher throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Feer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fisher will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Some wild striking there from Fisher.
Fisher connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Fisher tests Feer's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fisher throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Feer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Fisher throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Feer breaks from the clinch.
Feer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Fisher misses with a hook.
Fisher scores with a punch to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Feer moves forwards but Fisher connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Fisher throws a leg kick

and Feer counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fisher!
Feer is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Fisher sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Fisher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Feer is taking a breather. Fisher says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Feer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Fisher misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Feer is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Josh Feer has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Feer with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fisher to score with a decent uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fisher throws a low kick, looking for Feer's leg but Feer calmly moves out of range.
Feer has a takedown stuffed.
Feer avoids the head kick by Fisher.
Feer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Oooooh!!! Fisher has knocked Feer down with a huge combo! Fisher steps away and waves a wobbly Feer back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Feer avoids a kick to the body.
Fisher connects with a stiff jab that staggers Feer - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Peter Fisher!
